Koh Adang, Satun, Thailand – One of The Most Beautiful Beaches in the world
Part of the stunning Koh Tarutau National Park, Koh Adang boasts gleaming white sands, ethereal waterfalls, excellent hiking trails, and amazing snorkelling spots. There are several excellent lookout points too where you can enjoy some truly incredible views. Sugar Beach, Negros, The Philippines
Be warned that Sugar Beach isn’t easy to get to! After reaching Negros, which is itself not a particularly well—visited destination, you then need to take a bus followed by a boat. The journey itself can be an adventure! Once there, however, you will find it difficult to remember a more scenic and idyllic beach in South East Asia! There are just a few small bungalow resorts in the area and the beach is usually very quiet and peaceful. Bliss!
Sipadan, Sabah, Malaysia
For families that love diving it doesn’t get much better than the gorgeous islands of Sipadan. Voted the best dive site in Asia, it is easy to see why! Surrounded by stunning corals and an abundance of marine life, enjoy long days underwater spotting creatures like reef sharks and green turtles. There are also plenty of colourful fish!
Lazarus Island, Singapore
Whoever knew that Singapore had good beaches?! Often quiet and always scenic, Lazarus Island is connected to St. John’s Island by a bridge, and you can get to St. John’s Island (itself well-worth a visit) by regular ferry services. A pure slice of undeveloped loveliness, your kids can play on the soft sands and take a dip in the calm waters.
Mui Ne Beach, Vietnam
If your family is looking for large hits of adrenaline, Mui Ne Beach could be just what you are looking for! With plenty of chance too for relaxation and playing on the sands, it really does offer something for everyone. The waves may be too strong for younger children; this is a better option for families with older kids. Activities available include windsurfing and kite surfing. Even if you don’t want to have a go yourself, you can pass many pleasant hours watching other daredevils on the waves. Mui Ne also has some dramatic and unusual scenery, such as giant sand dunes.
Balangan Beach, Bali, Indonesia
Balangan is one of the most gorgeous beaches on the whole island of Bali. Close enough to the busier centres, where you’ll find an abundance of restaurants, accommodation options, attractions, and activities, Balagan offers excellent surfing and relaxing. Explore the hidden beaches of Bingin and Dreamland and visit the striking Uluwatu Temple and watch your kids’ eyes light up at they see the famous Kecak dance at sunset.
